Kilbeggan (70cl, 40%)

Kilbeggan is an Irish blended whiskey, double distilled and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The pot stills used at the Kilbeggan Distillery date back centuries and are still on site, and the whiskey runs through a building put up well before electricity. Double distillation gives it a robust profile, with more character than blends that are triple distilled. It is described as both complex and approachable, which makes it a sensible way into Irish whiskey.
