Kilchoman – 10 Year Old Bourbon Matured Single Cask (70cl)

This is a 10-year-old single cask Islay malt from Kilchoman, matured in bourbon casks and presented in a 70cl bottle. Every bottle comes from one barrel, with no blending across casks. Bourbon maturation usually points to vanilla and citrus rather than the dried fruit of sherry casks. The peat here sits on the brighter, cleaner side. Bourbon-cask Islay malts are typically described as vanilla, lemon and cereal sweetness with smoke running through, and a dry, mineral finish.
