Kilchoman – 10 Year Old Single Cask 15/768 2015 Madeira Cask (70cl)

This Kilchoman is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky from a single fresh Madeira cask, number 15/768. It was distilled in 2015, aged for 10 years and bottled at natural cask strength in a 70cl bottle, as an exclusive for the Canadian Prairies market. The Madeira cask adds dried fruit, nutty sweetness and fortified wine character to Kilchoman's peaty, citrus-led distillate. The nose combines warm peat smoke, dark raisins, caramelised figs, orange peel and toasted almonds. The palate shows dark stone fruits, Demerara sugar, roasted coffee beans and red berry jam, with campfire smoke. The finish is long and warm, with peat ash, dark cacao and gentle wood spice.
