Kilchoman – 100% Islay Edition 14 (50%)

Kilchoman 100% Islay is a single malt made entirely from barley grown on the distillery's own Rockside Farm. It is released in a continuing series of batches, and this is Edition 14, bottled at 50% ABV. The nose has strong bonfire smoke, citrus and orange peel, with the sweetness of tropical fruit. On the palate come rich vanilla, pineapple, caramel and buttery toffee, with lasting peat smoke. The finish is silky and creamy with sherry notes and an oily texture, and the peat smoke stays on the palate for a long time.
