Kilchoman – 100% Islay Sherry Cask Matured 11 Year Old

Kilchoman 100% Islay Sherry Cask Matured 11 Year Old is a single malt from the Islay farm distillery, made from barley grown on its own fields, with every step carried out on the island. It is the first 100% Islay bottling to be matured entirely in ex-Oloroso sherry butts, where it spent eleven years. Kilchoman was founded in 2005 and was the first new distillery on Islay in over a century. The whisky is described as combining the distillery's citrus notes with the sweetness of dried fruit, strong spice and peat smoke.
