Kilchoman – 11 Year Old Islay Sherry Cask Matured (70cl, 50%)

This is an eleven year old Islay single malt from Kilchoman, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a 100% Islay release, distilled from the 2011, 2012 and 2013 barley harvests. It was matured for a minimum of 11 years in ex-oloroso sherry butts. The bottling combines 16 individually selected first-fill butts, originally used by José y Miguel Martin in Jerez, Spain. It has no added colour and is not chill-filtered. The sherry casks are credited with a pronounced depth of dark fruits, spice and smoked meat.
