Kilchoman – Autumn 2009 Release (70cl, 46%)

This is the Autumn 2009 release from Kilchoman, a 3-year-old Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46%. It was only the second general release of Kilchoman's single malt as an official distillery bottling. The whisky began in fresh bourbon barrels from Buffalo Trace and was then finished for three months in Oloroso sherry butts. A single refill bourbon barrel was added to the vatting before bottling. It was bottled without colouring or chill filtration, in an edition of 10,000 bottles.
