An Islay single malt from Kilchoman, bottled at 46% for the 2022 edition. The whisky spent six years in fresh bourbon barrels, after which 38 casks were chosen and married for two years in two Portuguese red wine vats of 6,000 litres each.
The nose has campfire smoke, ripe fruit, plums and cherries, with marzipan and maritime notes. The palate is spicy and salty-smoky, with apricot and lemon. The finish is long and spicy, with cooked fruit, sweet jam and gentle smoke.
