Kilchoman – Cognac Cask 2023 Edition (50%)

An Islay single malt and the first Cognac cask matured release from Kilchoman. It was put together from 32 Cognac casks supplied by the Bossuet cooperage in France. The casks were filled and then matured in Kilchoman's warehouses for at least six years. Bottling was at 50% ABV, without filtration and with natural colour, and the edition is limited to those 32 casks. The casks are described as bringing a rich, herbal and sweet spiciness, which sits alongside Kilchoman's maritime peat smoke.
