This is a small batch Islay single malt from Kilchoman, matured fully in ex-Cognac casks from the French cooperage Tonellerie Bossuet. It is bottled at 50.6% in a 70cl bottle.
The Cognac casks add a herbaceous, sweet and spicy character, which sits against the firm peat smoke of the spirit.
On the palate there is toasted oak and ripe fruit with the warmth of crystallised ginger. The finish carries a tang of citrus oil through the smoke and sweet wood.
