Kilchoman – Fino Sherry Cask 2023 Limited Edition (70cl, 50%)

This is a limited-edition Islay single malt from Kilchoman, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from a mix of unpeated and peated spirit distilled on site. The whisky spent its first five years in 20 Fino sherry butts from Bodega José y Miguel Martin, and was matured only in Fino casks for at least five years before bottling. The nose brings dried herbs, sea spray and toasted almonds. On the palate there is peat smoke, candied citrus peel and honeycomb, and the finish is crisp, with salted oak and cedar spice.
