Kilchoman – Genesis Stage 4 Mashing Day 28 2022 Limited Edition (70cl, 49.1%)

Kilchoman Genesis Stage 4 is a limited edition Islay single malt released in 2022 at 49.1%, in a 70cl bottle. Mashing Day 28 belongs to the Genesis series, which looks at the steps of production, and this release is devoted to mashing. It combines fresh peat smoke with citrus, malt, vanilla and a light sweetness, and keeps the farm-to-bottle approach of the distillery at its centre. The nose is of fresh peat smoke, citrus, malt and light sweetness. The palate brings smoke, cereal, vanilla and bright fruit. The finish is medium in length, smoky, slightly salty and spicy.
