The first Kilchoman bottled as a single malt, from the Islay distillery that opened in 2005 as the first new distillery built on the island for 124 years. Kilchoman is owned by the Wills family and revived farm distilling on Islay.
The whisky was aged for 3 years in Buffalo Trace bourbon casks, then finished for 6 months in Oloroso sherry casks. Only 9,000 bottles were produced.
