Kilchoman – Inaugural Release

Kilchoman Inaugural Release was the distillery's first bottling as a single malt. It spent three years in Buffalo Trace bourbon casks, then six months in Oloroso sherry casks to finish. Kilchoman opened in 2005 and was the first new distillery built on Islay for 124 years. It is owned by the Wills family and brought farm distilling back to the island, with its own barley fields, malt floors and kilns. Around a quarter of its barley now comes from its own fields.
