Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2026 is a 10 year old Islay single malt bottled at 46%. It matured entirely in Oloroso sherry butts from the Bodega José y Miguel Martín, the same bodega that supplies sherry casks to Glenfarclas. This year the age appears prominently on the label for the first time.
Loch Gorm is a sherry-matured release filled in limited numbers once a year. Kilchoman was founded on Islay in 2005 as the island's only true farm distillery, with its own barley fields.
The nose offers dried dark fruit, barbecue spice, roasted nuts and earthy peat smoke. Candied orange peel, salted caramel, prunes, nutmeg and cinnamon mark the palate. The finish is long, with dark chocolate, a hint of liquorice and peat.
