This is the Cask Strength edition of Kilchoman Machir Bay, an Islay single malt released in a limited run. A batch of Machir Bay was bottled at cask strength, before any reduction to the usual 46% ABV, to show the full force of the distillery's character.
The whisky matured 90% in ex-bourbon casks and 10% in Oloroso sherry casks. It is heavily peated, at 50ppm.
