Kilchoman Machir Bay is an Islay single malt from Kilchoman, a distillery founded in 2005 and counted among the smallest in Scotland, on the island's rugged west coast. It is matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose brings citrus, vanilla bread rolls and layers of peat smoke. Tropical fruit opens the palate, with warming smoke carrying on behind it. The finish has sherried fruit and cracked black pepper.
