An Islay single malt from Kilchoman, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It takes its name from Machir Bay, a sandy beach about 600m from the distillery.
Unlike most Kilchoman bottlings, it is matured in both bourbon and sherry casks. The first batch appeared in 2012 and won the IWSC Gold Award as Best in Class that year. A new batch has been released every year since.
It is usually described as a balance of intense tropical fruit, peat smoke, light vanilla and pronounced sweetness.
