This is the second release of Kilchoman's ongoing Machir Bay, an Islay Scotch single malt bottled in early 2013. It is a vatting of four and five year old whisky, all matured in first fill bourbon casks.
After the four and five year old whiskies were married together, the whisky was finished in Oloroso sherry butts for four weeks before bottling.
