This is the 2024 Port Cask Edition from Kilchoman on Islay, bottled at 50% ABV. The whisky spent its whole maturation, 6 years, in refill Port casks selected personally by the distillery's founder, Anthony Wills.
Unlike the two earlier Port releases, this one used only refill casks, and it matured for a much longer time.
The nose offers red berries and figs with cinnamon and clove, and smoked paprika. On the palate come smoked ham, strawberry jam and sweet tobacco over charcoal smoke. The finish mixes sweet fruit with ashy peat smoke.
