Kilchoman – Rockside 100% Islay 11 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

Kilchoman Rockside 100% Islay 11 Year Old is a single malt made from barley grown, malted, peated, distilled, matured and bottled at Rockside Farm on Islay. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. Maturation was in 80% first-fill bourbon casks and 20% sherry casks, and the whisky is lightly peated. The nose brings orange, lemon peel, elderflower and honey with a gentle maritime smoke. On the palate are citrus, tropical fruit, barley sugars, toffee apple and salted caramel with subtle peat smoke. The finish is long, with butterscotch, walnuts, citrus and stone fruits.
