Kilchoman Rockside is an 11-year-old Islay single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The barley is grown, malted and distilled at Rockside Farm, in keeping with the distillery's farm-to-bottle approach.
It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, and shows a more delicate side of Kilchoman's peated character.
The nose offers grilled pineapple, ripe tropical fruit, fresh citrus and sweet malt over delicate peat smoke. The palate is rounded and fruit-forward, with citrus zest, honeyed barley, gentle smoke and mixed spices. The finish carries lingering fruit sweetness, soft peat smoke, warming spice and a subtle maritime note.
