Kilchoman – Sanaig Cask Strength (70cl, 57.8%)

Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength is an Islay single malt bottled undiluted at 57.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is drawn from bourbon and sherry casks, and the malt from the bourbon casks also received a finish in sherry casks. Sanaig is now a permanent part of the Kilchoman range, and this is its cask strength version. The nose offers stewed dark fruit, caramel and toffee with toasted oak. On the palate come dark chocolate, liquorice, raisins and figs, alongside warming peat smoke. The finish is long, sweet and fruity, with spicy peat smoke.
