Kilchoman – Sanaig

Kilchoman Sanaig is an Islay single malt named after an inlet on the island's rugged Atlantic coast. It is matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, with a high share of Oloroso sherry influence. The result balances dried fruit and spice against Kilchoman's citrus sweetness and peaty smoke. The nose offers stewed fruit, brown sugar, toffee and a light wood smoke. The palate is rich and sweet, with caramel, red fruits, sultanas, honey and a touch of warming spice. The finish is medium in length, sweeter than smoky, with white pepper, dark fruit and sugar.
