This is a 2024 release of Kilchoman single malt from Islay, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit matured for over five years in first-fill and refill Sauternes barriques, which add apricot and butterscotch to the peaty maritime character.
The nose is candied apricot, honeycomb and white blossom. The palate brings caramelised pear, salted smoke and creamy toffee, and the finish is soft and sweet, with a long length.
