A limited release from Kilchoman on Islay, matured for a minimum of five years in Sauternes sweet wine casks. Of the whisky, 22% came from first-fill casks and 78% from refill casks, drawn from two different years, the youngest being 2018. It was bottled in 2024 at 50%, non-chill-filtered and naturally coloured.
The nose is creamy and buttery, with ripe fruit, a hint of salty sea air and subtle peat smoke. Butterscotch and floral notes meet tropical and candied fruit on the palate, with peat smoke running throughout. The finish stays sweet, with clean, lingering smoke and a rich texture.
