A single malt from Kilchoman on Islay, matured for at least five years entirely in Sauternes barriques chosen by founder Anthony Wills. It returns after six years away, this time as a full maturation rather than a finish.
The casks are a mix of first fill and refill, and the peating level is 50ppm. Buttery sweetness, barbecued pineapple, candied ginger and floral peat smoke are the flavours described.
It is bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
