Kilchoman – Sister Cask 633 15 Year Old 2008/2024 (52.4%)

Kilchoman Sister Cask 633 is a 15 year old Islay single malt, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2024. It spent its whole maturation in a single Oloroso sherry cask, and it is the first worldwide release from the oldest full Oloroso maturations the distillery still holds. Kilchoman uses the term sister casks for casks distilled and filled on the same day, which makes the influence of the cask easy to see. This one's sister is cask 639. The whisky is peated to 50ppm and bottled at a cask strength of 52.4%, with 302 bottles in the release.
