The 2022 release of Kilkerran 12 Year Old, a Campbeltown single malt made at the Glengyle distillery, founded in 1872. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky is made up of 70% bourbon cask and 30% sherry cask.
The nose shows cherry and red berries with plenty of vanilla, some marzipan and discreet peat smoke. The palate brings orange peel, vanilla, caramel and honeycomb, with a touch of smoke. The finish is long, soft and slightly oily, with meringue and a little salt.
