Kilkerran 12 Year Old is the core single malt of Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown. It is matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose is fresh, with apple, pear and citrus, honey, vanilla, caramel and a little smoke, plus notes of salt and seaweed. The palate is soft and round with a slightly oily texture, bringing fruit, caramel, gentle spice and light smoke. The finish is long and warm, with fruit and spice returning and the smoke staying subtle.
