Kilkerran 16 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt Scotch whisky from Glengyle Distillery, bottled at 46%. It is the oldest regular single malt from Glengyle, which is owned by the Mitchell family, who also own Springbank.
It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The casks are mostly a mix of ex-bourbon and sherry, sometimes with some rum or Madeira, and the exact make-up varies with the bottling year.
The nose combines sea salt, light peat smoke, citrus, rhubarb, herbs and tobacco. The palate is oily and full, and the finish is dry and warming, with lingering smoke.
