Kilkerran 8 is a single malt from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at a cask strength of 57.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is eight years old and was matured exclusively in ex-sherry casks.
The nose is sweet and smoky, with peat smoke, toasted marshmallow and smoked ham alongside dark chocolate and clove. On the palate there is sea salt and fishing nets, with candied apple and toffee. The finish is long, with a sweet peat note and a touch of burnt candy.
