Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 13 is a Campbeltown single malt in a 70cl bottle at 58.6% ABV.
Kilkerran is the name given to whisky made at Glengyle, because the Glengyle name cannot be used on the bottle. It comes from the Gaelic name of the first settlement on the Kintyre peninsula. Glengyle was founded in 1872 and closed in 1925. The owners of Springbank set up Mitchell's Glengyle Ltd in 2000 and restored the old distillery with new equipment, including stills from Ben Wyvis. Production restarted in 2004, the first new distillery opening in Campbeltown for 125 years.
