Kilkerran 8 Year Old Bourbon Cask is the 2026 release in the distillery's annual cask strength series, made at Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown. This single malt was matured for eight years entirely in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 57.7% ABV, non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The bourbon casks bring forward vanilla, orchard fruit and a maritime minerality.
The nose offers fresh citrus, green apple and vanilla, with light coastal smoke. The palate is oily, with lemon zest, orchard fruit, malt sweetness, pepper and underlying peat. The finish is long and warming, with smoke, vanilla cream and a salty note.
