Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 10 is a single malt from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, bottled at cask strength at 57.8% ABV. As the name says, it is a strongly peated expression, with peat smoke at the centre of the whisky. Behind the smoke sit sweet malt, ripe fruit and spicy oak, along with a salty, maritime undertone. The nose is smoky, with ash and bonfire notes. The palate adds sweet malt, ripe fruit and spicy oak over a salty edge. The finish is long, warm and lasting, balancing peat smoke against the sweeter malt.
