Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 8 (58.4%)

This is Batch 8 of Kilkerran Heavily Peated, a Campbeltown single malt bottled at 58.4% ABV. The heavy peating gives it a smoky, earthy character. The whisky was matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then moved into European oak ex-sherry casks. The first stage adds sweetness and vanilla, and the sherry casks bring dried fruit and spice alongside the peat smoke. The finish is long and sweet.
