King of Kentucky 12 Year Old Small Batch, Batch 1 of 3, is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Brown-Forman, bottled without chill filtration at 105 proof (52.5%) in a 70cl bottle. It is the first small batch King of Kentucky in more than 90 years, after modern releases had all been single barrels. The batch is a blend of about 100 hand selected barrels aged between 12 and 18 years, made from a mash bill of 75 percent corn, 15 percent rye and 10 percent malted barley. The nose brings chocolate, caramel and toasted marshmallow with dried apricot, clove and dark cherry. On the palate are smooth oak, toasted coconut, cacao, vanilla bean and orange zest, and the finish is silky.
