King of Kentucky 12 Year Old Small Batch, Batch 2 of 3, is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Brown-Forman, the first small batch under the King of Kentucky name; earlier modern releases were single barrel. It is bottled without chill filtration at 107.5 proof (53.75%). The blend draws on roughly 100 hand selected barrels aged between 12 and 18 years in heat cycled warehouses, some of which kept as little as 16 percent of their original volume. The mash bill is 75 percent corn, 15 percent rye and 10 percent malted barley. The nose offers dates and fig with caramel and charred oak. The palate adds a minty lift and hints of vanilla, and the finish is longer and crisp.
