A 12 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Brown-Forman, in a 700ml bottle. It is the third and highest-strength release in the first King of Kentucky small batch series, bottled at 55% ABV (110 proof) without chill filtration.
The batch was built from roughly 100 hand-selected barrels aged between 12 and 18 years in heat-cycled warehouses. The mash bill is 75% corn, 15% rye and 10% malted barley.
It pours a deep reddish amber. The nose is rich chocolate and brown sugar with citrus and pine. The palate is bold and structured, with pronounced oak and spice over a sweet core, and the finish is long and oak-forward.
