King of Kentucky is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Brown-Forman, aged for 14 years. This is the 2021 release, bottled at 62.5% (125 proof) in a 750ml bottle and not chill-filtered. The mash bill is 79% corn, 11% rye and 10% malted barley, and the colour is mahogany.
The nose brings aged oak, cigar box, leather, honey and dark cherries. The palate is big on aged oak, with rye spice, tobacco, chocolate, caramel, vanilla and some musty notes, robust and warming. The finish is dry and lingering, with aged oak, a Dr Pepper sweetness and light cinnamon.
