Kirin Fuji Gotemba 2004 14 Years Red Wine Cask Finish (51%)

This is a single malt from Kirin's Fuji Gotemba distillery, distilled in 2004 at 610 metres above sea level in the Japanese highlands. It was matured for 14 years in red wine casks, bottled in 2018 at 51% ABV. The nose is rich with berries, red grapes and plums. On the palate there are assorted stone fruits, dark chocolate and red wine, and the finish is smooth, with lingering malt and oak.
