Knockando 12 is a twelve-year-old single malt from Speyside, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in former bourbon casks.
The whisky has a light body and a delicate fruity, floral character with a restrained smoky side. Toffee, grain, almonds and hazelnuts add to the range of flavours.
The nose opens with currant blossom and a hint of blackcurrant, with ash and charred toast behind and damp linen emerging with time. The palate is light and pleasantly sweet, with a gentle acidity and a slightly drying effect. The finish is fairly short and clean.
