This is a 21 year old single malt from Knockando, bottled as part of the Master Reserve range. The whisky was distilled in 1977 and matured in 500 litre butts, kept in a particular part of the ageing cellar.
Maturation ended in 1998, when Innes Shaw judged that the whisky had reached its full development after 21 years. It is described as rich and fruity, with particular depth and a mellow character.
