It matured entirely in one Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead, which gave 324 bottles at a cask strength of 58.9% abv, in 70cl size. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is oily and robust, with earthy malt, candied citrus, plum, butter biscuit, hay and hazelnut cream. The palate begins with icing sugar sweetness and peppery spice, then moves through toffee, overripe fruit, oily malt and marmalade. In the finish come chocolate caramel, crème brûlée, apricot and ginger, followed by pink pepper and a hint of honey ham.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
