Knockdhu – 2006/2024 18 Year Old Hogshead (Chorlton) (70cl, 58.9%)

This is an 18 year old single malt from Knockdhu, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2024 by the independent bottler Chorlton. It is better known as the distillery behind the anCnoc name. The whisky matured in a hogshead and is peated, which is an uncommon style for Knockdhu. Expect the fruity intensity associated with the distillery, joined by a firm, sulphury smoke. It was bottled at a cask strength of 58.9%, with natural colour and without chill-filtration, and only 179 bottles were filled.
