Mo Ghràidh, meaning 'my dear', is a 2025 bottling from Krinnawible, named after a figure from Koblach legend. The spirit was distilled in Vorarlberg by Gerhard Kreutz in a pot still, from lightly peated barley with the wort coming from the Gusswerk brewery in Salzburg.
It was distilled on 13 May 2022, matured in a 65 litre virgin American oak cask with heavy toasting, and bottled on 29 June 2025. The cask was meant only for a first maturation in virgin oak, but the whisky was bottled straight from it without a finish. There are 111 bottles.
The nose shows rich vanilla and charred oak, with a touch of burnt caramel and dunnage warehouse. The palate is spicy and oily, with smoke arriving quietly from behind, then more oak and roasted notes.
