Kujira 10 Year Old is a Japanese whisky matured in virgin white oak casks, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is rich and sweet, with butter, caramel and spice from the sapwood, much like a bourbon. The palate stays sweet and buttery, with caramel, roasted wood and liquorice, plus a hint of spice such as cloves and cinnamon.
The finish starts with some bitterness, then runs long with spice before the sweetness returns.
