Kura Blended Malt is a Japanese blended malt whisky from Okinawa, made by the Helios Distillery.
Helios is best known for its Japanese rum, and began making whisky in the 1980s. The distillery aims to use as many of the raw materials the island offers as it can.
The nose has soft malt, moss, cream and lemon. On the palate there is charred oak and brown sugar, and the finish carries a pleasant touch of bitterness.
