Kura The Whisky Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt from Helios Distillery in Nago, in the north of Okinawa Island. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle and made from malted barley, yeast and water. The blend combines malt whiskies aged up to 18 years.
Helios was founded by Tadashi Matsuda and has been distilling spirits for over 50 years.
The nose has heather honey, yuzu, flowers and vanilla. Butterscotch and vanilla lead the palate, joined by Japanese citrus. The finish brings caramel, green notes and tropical fruit with vanilla.
