Kyrö 2017/2022 is a four-year-old single malt from Kyrö Distillery, bottled by Whisky Druid at 53.8% ABV. It was distilled in 2017, finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry barrel and bottled in 2022, with an outturn of 145 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose combines dark, heavy sweetness, old sherry, leather sofa and dried fruit, with hints of ripe strawberry and dark chocolate, drying towards grass. The palate is grassy and malty before heavy sweetness, burnt cane sugar and dried fruit arrive, with a little smoke turning herbal and spicy. The finish is long and herbal.
